Make sure there is enough space between the toes with the tip of the shoe. This is very important in finding the right new running shoes.
Your fingers should be able to move freely from one side to the other on the front of the shoe. When standing normally, the little toe should not be on the edge of the shoe sole.
There should be a space of one thumb between the longest toes and the front end of the shoe. Ask your store or friend to measure it as you stand upright.
Make sure the top of the shoe does not feel too tight above your toes – these fingers should be able to move up and down freely as if playing the piano
Make sure the heel feels right. If the heel of the running shoes is too tight or loose, your feet can be irritated while running.
The perfect Runners Choice shoes will feel right on the heels, not too tight. When the shoelace is wrapped (but not tied) to the last shoe holes, you should be able to pull your leg out quite easily from the shoe.
A little movement in the heel area is okay, but if you’re not sure, trusts your instincts. Keep in mind that the small problems felt when trying on the shoe at the store will feel great when you use them for the first run.
Make sure the top of the shoe feels right, not tight. The top of the shoe should feel fit at the top of the foot, do not feel uncomfortable or too tight.
If you feel pressure or feel too tight at the top of the foot, the shoes you try may be too small and you should try larger sizes.
However, if pressure or pain is concentrated just below the shoelace, you might try to tie it in a different way before trying on other sizes or running shoes
